Our good friends from ASGA kick off the season once again with a retrospective and review of the past year (2024) in fisheries conservation and science. From new data and historic management action to help protect false albacore, to the “local singles” partnership with tackle manufacturers, aimed at reducing striped bass mortality, it was a banner year for ASGA’s efforts on behalf of our fisheries. At the same time, 2024 saw continued efforts to restrict management along our coasts, from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic seaboard.
What was accomplished in 2024? What did we learn? And more importantly, what can we all do to help protect the fish we love so much in 2025?
